Some I've earned, some I got by luck and a few were given to me. I've only paid real money for 3 premium ships yet I've got 11 or more premium ships in port. Heck they even give away premium ships for free almost weekly, not mention the premiums that can be earned in game or for events. Read this for more information on camos and their bonuses.Īnd finally premium ship help keep the lights on, the devs feed, and the game free. The Prinze Eugen isn't different from the Hipper but she has a premium camo so it boost her earnings.Īs to the Free Exp boost only two ships in game have premium camos that do that, the Anshan and a Tirpitz with a special camo earned during the Santa Convey campaign back around Christmas. The Atago is similar to her sister ships but with some minor differences to make her stand out. Premium also offer unique ships that don't fit into the tech tree or are a clone of an excising ship but with a slight difference and that premium bonus.Ĭase in point the Atlanta is an odd ship compared to its tech tree counter parts but she is fun to play. Also exp the premium ship has earned is easier converted to Free Exp than a tech tree ship, but it still cost gold. Since they are premium ships they have premium camo which increases rewards, you might not see much of an increase at T4 but it gets better they higher the tier of the premium. Case in point your BB captain can do double duty on your premium ship and your tech tree ship to collect two daily win bonus. There are several purposes for Premium ships, they allow you to train captains from the ships nation with out a retraining penalty. So limiting the ships you play based on the national flavor of your game name is going keep some very fun ship out of your port. Don't get me wrong, I like the ship, (which puts me in the minority it seems as all the reviewers say the only Japanese premium worth owning is the Atago.) but thought it was supposed to give free XP.įirst off you would be surprised at the people the different nations allow to sail their premium flag ships. If I did misread the benefits of a premium, ship, then I will not buy anymore, and just grind without converting until I get my next monthly check, and figure out how much I can spend on doubloons. That is one reason I started thinking a premium ship would be better as it is a one time fee. I have already spent twice as much on doubloons as my monthly premium account fee. Is it only a boost to ship XP? Do I still have to spend real money every week to convert to free? If that is the case, then I ask again, what is the purpose? Being on a fixed income and finding out real early, that buying doubloons once a week so I can convert XP is not going to work. ![]() However, I noticed after my last battle with her, I did not get any. ![]() However, I must have misread something in the description of premium ships, because I was under the impression that it helped you get free XP. Next month I will buy the cheap Tachibana, and then I will have to save for the Atago. Even though eventually, I want to get all the Japanese premiums, I figured the Ishi would be my best choice for now. Since I play only Japanese, (with a username like mine I can't very well knock on the US War department's door and ask to captain an American ship now can I?) I wanted to get a Japanese premium ship, and settled on the Ishizuchi because I am currently at Tier 4 and 5 and figured it would be perfect. Could someone please tell me the purpose of premium ships? I mean other than to make money for WG obviously, but I just recently purchased the IJN Ishizuchi and have been playing her off and on the past two days.
